Time it took to complete Transformation:
I was tired of feeling sick and tired. 2008 had me at an all-time high of 240 pounds. I decided to change the way I was eating and exercising. August 2011, I was down to around 190 pounds, and in the best shape of my life. Then my sons came to visit. I was celebrating my 36th birthday. We went to the beach, took photos. Viewing these photos is the motivation I needed. I turned to my smartphone to track everything I consume, in the form of a free app called My Fitness Pal. I switched from eating three meals a day to six or seven smaller portions. My traditional day begins with a good carb like oatmeal and balanced with a protein shake. Following this, about an hour and a half later, I consume one fruit item, a banana or an apple. 4 days at the gym, 2 days 6 miles of running. Lunch consists of vegetables with 10oz of Protein and complex carb. At 4pm, another balance snack of carb and protein. At 8 pm is dinner of 10oz of protein with a complex carb. I finish the day with a healthy snack.
