Time it took to complete Transformation:
Growing up I was always in pretty decent shape until a shoulder injury took away the thing I loved to do most. I quit caring and gained weight.
3 yrs ago I was taking my dad to a routine dr's appointment 200 miles away. I didn't know that was the last couple hrs I would get to talk to my dad. When I went to pick him up he had a massive heart attack, walking across the cross walk to get into the truck.
Since I couldn't argue with him I decided to do something. I started out doing loads of cardio and machine weights. I reached my original goal of 200lbs 9 months later. Then set my sights on a full marathon.
I will be the first to admit how I got to 200 wasn't healthy. I was unknowingly starving myself and over training. I would run up to 15 miles one day, 7 miles and lift machines the next. In March of 2011 I met Heather. She got me on a marathon training schedule, my nutrition in check, lifting free weights, and metabolism working again.
Last May, I completed my goal and ran a full with two stress fractures. Since then it has been all free weights with limited cardio. Right now I am doing 3 days on, 1 off, 3 on. With 30 minutes fasted cardio.
