The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup, Legends Update, Special Honors

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup includes International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness athletes at various stages of major-title acquisition – some who have already won Olympia titles, some who qualified and are preparing for Olympia contests, and others who have never qualified and sill hope of stepping on an Olympia stage someday.

The "So What?": Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Hall of Fame member and former Olympia contender, IFBB Pro Rich Gaspari was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by retired IFBB Pro Shawn Ray at the 4th Annual NPC Shawn Ray Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Brooklyn Park, Maryland. Gaspari was crowned the first-ever winner of the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in 1989 (Ray claimed the title in 1991). Previous recipients of this event's award include: legendary 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Lee Haney and 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson.

Speaking of the record-holding, five-time Arnold Classic Champion, Dexter Jackson gave fans a "sneak peak" of the physique he is prepping for next month's Olympia when he guest-posed at the IFBB Pro Dallas/NPC Texas State Championships in Irving. The co-headlining guest-poser, IFBB Pro Flex Lewis also gave a pre-game preview as he preps to defend his title of Olympia 212 Showdown Champion at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (a.k.a. the "Super Bowl of bodybuilding"). Also spotted at the event: Texas-based firefighter/paramedic and winner of the 2014 Arnold Classic Brasil, IFBB Pro Steve Kuclo. Arnold Classic Champion IFBB Pro Branch Warren (a.k.a "Quadrasaurus") and IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson (2009 "World's Strongest Bodybuilder" Powerlifting Challenge winner) stopped by to visit Training Camp attendees (a group from Sweden) at a gym in Dallas, where IFBB Pro Guy Cisternino was also spotted doing a pre-Olympia Showdown workout.

Pro strongman and pro wrestler, IFBB Pro Jon Andersen made his pro bodybuilding debut at the Golden State Pro Championships (won by IFBB Pro Cedric McMillan). IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski, who last competed and took 7th place at the 2015 Arnold Classic Australia (won by Jackson), hosted a Muscle Camp in Tampa, Florida, where attendees learned training and nutrition tips from the Canadian "Quadzilla." IFBB Pro Timmy Gaillard, who, placed 9th at last weekend's Tampa Pro Championships (won by IFBB Pro Max Charles), hosted the NPC Total Body Championships in Tupelo, Mississippi. Fresh off his 212-Division win at the Tampa Pro, IFBB Pro Al Auguste guest-posed at the NPC Florida State Championships in Orlando. A Florida resident, IFBB Pro Jason Huh guest-posed at the NPC Utah (Warrior) Classic Championships in West Valley City.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Many are waiting for Jason Huh to make a major move, or even just an upward uptick, in his career. The son of a bodybuilder from Seoul, Korea, earned his IFBB Pro card and Mr. USA title by winning the Super-Heavyweight Class at the 2010 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships. At that time, the buzz was about his impressive abdominal "vacuum" pose and scrutiny of his unconventional training philosophy. Since then, Huh has only competed in four pro contests -- 2011 New York Pro (8th), 2011 Tampa Pro (7th), 2012 Tampa Pro (7th), 2013 Tampa Pro (12th). In addition, others like IFBB Pro Justin Compton and IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a. "Big Ramy") have since turned pro and made bigger splashes in the industry. Basically, the 31-year-old Sarasota resident needs to start breaking into the Top 5 of IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series contests…and maybe venture outside of Florida to do that.
