The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes and athletes from other sports leagues had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup includes several Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend winners, a 2-time NCAA Basketball Champion, a strongman competitor, and a mix of players in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness.

The "So What?": Over the weekend, 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman participated in the Toronto Pro SuperShow Seminar Series in Canada, where 4-time Ms. Figure Olympia IFBB Pro Nicole Wilkins also led a seminar, and IFBB Pro Brandon Curry won the Toronto Pro Bodybuilding Championships. The Toronto SuperShow Expo also featured a charity fitness challenge, WAKO Kickboxing Championships, OPA Provincial Championships, professional wrestling, Ontario's Strongest Man, as well as CrossFit, boxing, powerlifting, weightlifting and armwrestling tournaments. Spotted at the expo: IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a. "Big Ramy," recent winner of the Arnold Sports Festival's  3rd Annual IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil), IFBB Pro Quincy Winklaar, IFBB Pro Bob Cicherillo, and IFBB Pro Mike Johnson. A legendary "Super Bowl of bodybuilding" winner, Coleman announced that his sports nutrition company signed National Basketball Association NBA All-Star Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls pro basketball team to an endorsement deal.

Speaking of Sandow trophy owners, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath was the headlining guest-poser at the NPC Atlantic States Bodybuilding Championships in New York, where IFBB Pro Juan Morel, IFBB Pro Jon Delarosa, IFBB Pro Marco Rivera, and IFBB Pro Nick Trigili were spotted. IFBB Pro Justin Compton took the guest-posing stage at the NPC Muscle Mayhem Championships in Overland Park, Kansas. IFBB Pro Ko Chandetka hosted a posing workshop at the Titan Sports Festival's NPC Titan Open Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where IFBB Pro Kevin Jordan and Physique IFBB Pro Andre Adams were the guest-posers. Meanwhile, the man who portrayed the character of Titan on TV's "American Gladiators," Mike O'Hearn, was the guest-poser at the NPC Idaho Muscle Classic Championships -- which was held at the BFE Bodybuilding Fitness Expo in Boise, Idaho, where 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler and WSM World's Strongest Man contender Robert Oberst made appearances. IFBB Pro Alexander Fedorov conducted a training seminar at a gym in Tallinn, Estonia.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The start of summer brings some good news and some unfortunate news from Italy. IFBB Italia hosted a new local competition, the Elena Cuzuioc Grand Prix Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, which qualified the winning athlete to compete at the 2015 Amateur Olympia Europe in Prague. Italian IFBB Pro Emiliano Dell'Uomo was the featured guest-poser at the event. (Dell'Uomo earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the Overall title at the 2013 Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding Championships at the Arnold Classic USA in Columbus, Ohio, where IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson tied the record of four wins in the pro division).

In the midst of celebration, somber news: "In a festive day, when you least expect it, comes news that we did not want to disclose. R.I.P. champion. A hug to your family," IFBB Italia posted, in reaction to the passing of IFBB Pro Feras Saied at 34 (January17, 1981 - June 6, 2015). The 6'3", 275-pound Feras (Firas) Saied was born in Syria, first stepped on stage in 2000, resided in Dubai, competed as a representative for Italy, and, according to an official IFBB post, departed in a motorcycle accident. Saied earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the Super-Heavyweight Class at the 2011 Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding Championships at the inaugural Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid, Spain (where IFBB Pro Victor Martinez won the pro division). Only two weeks ago, Saied basked in a 2nd place finish at the inaugural California Pro Bodybuilding Championships (won by IFBB Pro Dallas McCarver), earning his highest placing in an IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series contest during his brief pro career (of only five professional contests).
