The "So What?":
In addition to news regarding the Arnold Sports Festival and IFBB Pro
Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, "Andrew Oye's
Pro-Muscle Report" has covered the Hollywood comeback of the star of
"The Expendables" (2010), "Terminator" (2003, 1996, 1991, 1984),
"Collateral Damage" (2002), "Batman & Robin" (1997), "Last Action
Hero" (1993), "Total Recall" (1990), "Kindergarten Cop" (1990), "Twins" (1988), "Predator" (1987), "The Running Man" !1987), "Commando"
(1985), "Conan the Destroyer"(1984), "Conan the Barbarian" (1982), and more.
Thus far, Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2011 slate has included prospects and attempts to revive the "Terminator" movie franchise; to launch an animated hero series called "Governator"; to review a horse trainer role in a dramatic feature film; and, the latest, to complete production of "The Last Stand," a modern-day Western film being described as a cross between "Die Hard" and "High Noon."
Andrew Oye's Verdict
: It must be the season of the comeback. Arnold Schwarzenegger -- whose childhood home in Austria opened as a restored museum last month and whose bronze, physique statues commissioned by the ISHOF International Sports Hall of Fame were recently unveiled -- shares MUSCLE INK Magazine's current spotlight with 2-time Mr. Universe, IFBB Pro Lou Ferrigno. The star of TV's "The Incredible Hulk" returns to the role of action hero in the new "Liberator" designed specifically for him. In March, Ferrigno was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio (an award also given to fellow action star Sylvester Stallone in 2010).
Schwarzenegger and Ferrigno share a long history -- as IFBB Pro League athletes and competitive rivals at Joe Weider's 1975 Mr. Olympia Championships depicted in the renowned documentary "Pumping Iron" (1977), and as friendly colleagues who have, at different times, portrayed the mythic strongman character of Hercules and went on to make fitness their business as entrepreneurs.
