Andrew Oye's Verdict: Congratulations to Lee Haney, on behalf of MUSCLE INK Magazine. In addition to other honors, such as being the recipient of the Ben Weider Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 and serving as Chairman to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports from 1999-2002 under the Bill Clinton Administration, the new resolution speaks to why IFBB Hall of Famer Lee Haney is a positive ambassador for IFBB Pro League athletes, the sport of professional bodybuilding, and healthy living, in general.

Lee Haney is the first-ever winner and IFBB Pro-card earner at the 1982 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships and first to set a record of eight Sandow trophies at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (1984-1991). As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the record for eight consecutive wins was later matched by IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman (1998-2005); yet, Haney initially surpassed the previous record of seven total wins set by IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger, founder of the Arnold Sports Festival and the IFBB Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Championships.
