The Scoop: Just Reported: Hollywood action-movie star, 7-time Mr. Olympia and IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger is being immortalized. According to the Lewiston Tribune, "A 9-foot-tall statue depicting Arnold Schwarzenegger at the height of his bodybuilding career has received a final critique by the former Mr. Universe before it's sent for bronzing."

The "So What?": Last week, Schwarzenegger was in Idaho to offer his input on minor alterations to the flexing statue of himself that will be posted outside of a museum in Austria. The museum was formerly his home during his childhood. The Tribune reports Schwarzenegger selected Lewiston artist Ralph Crawford (who is also working on another statue of Schwarzenegger as governor) to sculpt the bodybuilding statue for his passion to produce a dramatic sculpture.

As recently reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the star of "Terminator" and "Conan the Barbarian" movies and the former California Governor left his political post in January of this year and announced that he is once again considering acting roles. In less than two weeks, the physique icon heads to Columbus, Ohio, to preside over his annual bodybuilding contest, the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, and his immense multi-sport fitness expo, the Arnold Sports Festival (March 5).

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Author of the book, "The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding," Arnold Schwarzenegger is saluted for his contributions to IFBB Pro League athletes and the sports and fitness industries. The current MUSCLE INK Magazine cover subject, Schwarzenegger is a larger-than-life fixture in the sport of competitive bodybuilding with ever-growing tributes such as his latest, larger-than-life sculpture.

Second in prestige only to Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend Mr. Olympia Championships (which has crowned other champions like IFBB Pro Lee Haney, IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman, IFBB Pro Dorian Yates, IFBB Pro Franco Columbu, IFBB Pro Frank Zane, IFBB Pro Sergio Oliva and IFBB Pro Larry Scott), the Arnold Classic (which has crowned champions like IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson, IFBB Pro Jay Cutler, IFBB Pro Kevin Levrone, IFBB Pro Mike Francios, IFBB Pro Vince Taylor, IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler and IFBB Pro Rich Gaspari) is an example of how Schwarzenegger was influenced by his legendary mentor Joe Weider, founder of the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness.
