The Item: Legends Update, Entertainment Industry News, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Reported: Hollywood movie star, legendary Mr. Olympia and IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to announce specifics about his new TV series at the upcoming 2011 MIPTV Media Market in Cannes, France. According to THR, "Details of the project, which is being kept under wraps, will be revealed April 4 at a press conference at the Riviera-side Majestic Hotel."

The "So What?": I recently reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" and MUSCLE INK Magazine (with two features: "Hollywood Muscle" and "Hollywood Strong") that the former California Governor was hunting for film acting roles again after a break from action movies and the Hollywood industry. Regarding the new TV project, Schwarzenegger's reps would only hint that he is involved in an "international TV series."

The MIPTV (Marche International des Programmes de Television) is a conference where those in the TV, film, digital and audiovisual industry network to discover trends and to buy, sell and trade entertainment content rights on a global scale.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Fresh off his massive, multi-sport event earlier this month -- the Arnold Sports Festival (which hosts the prestigious Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Championships for IFBB Pro League athletes to qualify for Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend) -- as well as the announcement about a new 9-foot statue of his likeness as a bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger is basking in his larger-than-life, cross-sector stardom. He also paid tribute to the departed fitness icon Jack LaLanne earlier this year. From elected office to movie box office, the star of "Terminator," "Conan the Barbarian," and "Pumping Iron" is a force in entertainment, sports and business.
