The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, the IFBB Slovakia Pro Bodybuilding Championships, a.k.a. the IFBB Mozolani Pro Classic, debuted at the Doxxbet Arena in Zilina. IFBB Pro Sami Al-Haddad won 1st place. IFBB Pro Khalid Almohsinawi earned 2nd place. IFBB Pro Marian Cambal captured 3rd place. IFBB Pro Mark Dugdale took 4th place. IFBB Pro Luke O. took 5th place. (Others in the lineup: IFBB Pro Petr Vanis, IFBB Pro Jan Kubik, IFBB Pro Raul Carrasco-Jimenez, IFBB Pro Amit Sapir, IFBB Pro Vicente Santamaria Martinez and IFBB Pro Robert Belisle.)

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System: (1st automatic qualification, 2nd -- 4 Points, 3rd -- 3 Points, 4th -- 2 Points, 5th -- 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas and challenge reigning Olympia 212 Showdown Champion IFBB Pro James 'Flex' Lewis. The Mozolani Classic is the first IFBB-sanctioned professional bodybuilding contest in Slovakia. Before adding a pro-level division, the successful, televised amateur bodybuilding and fitness event had featured top pros like reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath and IFBB Pro Flex Lewis as guest-posers. This year, IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar was the headliner.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: IFBB Pro Jose Raymond won the 2014 IFBB New Zealand Pro Bodybuilding Championships in March, following Lewis' victory at the first-ever 212 Division contest at the Arnold Sports Festival's 2014 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships (won by IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf). Thus far, the event in Zilina is the third contest in the 2014 calendar year to qualify an athlete for the Olympia 212 Showdown.

It's unfortunate that IFBB Pro Jaroslav Horvath missed the opportunity to compete for that spot at the first pro show in his home country. Back in January, I learned that Horvath had retired due, in part, to a knee injury. At that time, he had just undergone his third surgery on his right knee, which he injured playing futsal (indoor soccer) and was scheduled to be a special guest at the Mozolani Pro Classic. Slovakia is also the home country of veteran IFBB Pro Pavol Jablonicky.
