The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop:
Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Victor Martinez earned a 1st place victory, winning the Open Division at the 2013 Toronto Pro Bodybuilding Championships. Canadian IFBB Pro Fouad Abiad flexed to a 2nd place finish. IFBB Pro Jonathan Delarosa fell from 2nd place last year to 3rd place this year. IFBB Pro Frank McGrath muscled his way to 4th place, and IFBB Pro Mohammad Bannout took the 5th place slot.

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes’ eligibility to compete at the 2013 Olympia Weekend (September 26-29) in Las Vegas to face reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath. The 2012 Toronto Pro SuperShow was won by IFBB Pro Bill Wilmore.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Following a surprising defeat to rookie IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay, a.k.a. "Big Ramy," at the previous weekend's IFBB New York Pro Bodybuilding Championships (and a tumultuous year of 2012 altogether), IFBB Pro Victor Martinez (winner of the 2011 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Europe Bodybuilding Championships) needed the win at the Toronto Pro Championships...if only for the confidence boost.
