The Headline: ANDREW OYE'S IFBB PRO CARD REPORT + IFBB PRO ATHLETES ROUNDUP: NPC MASTERS NATIONAL BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS ISSUES NEW IFBB PRO LEAGUE CARDS TO WINNING ATHLETES, PLUS IFBB PRO ANDY HAMAN, IFBB PRO STAN EFFERDING, IFBB PRO JUSTIN COMPTON IN PENNSYLVANIA

The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Fouad Abiad won 1st place in the Open Division at the inaugural 2015 IFBB Vancouver Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Canada. IFBB Pro Jon Delarosa finished in 2nd place. IFBB Pro Renaldo Gairy took 3rd place. Some remaining physiques in the field: IFBB Pro Paulo Almeida (5th), IFBB Pro Santana Anderson (6th), and,  in his pro debut, IFBB Pro Ron Partlow (7th). IFBB Pro Shaun Clarida won 1st place in the 212 Division, while powerlifter/IFBB Pro Derik Farnsworth nabbed 2nd place, and IFBB Pro Patrick Bernard claimed 3rd place.

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (September 17-20) in Las Vegas, Nevada, to challenge reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath or reigning Olympia 212 Showdown Champion IFBB Pro Flex Lewis. The victory in Vancouver marked Fouad Abiad's second professional win in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness. Meanwhile, it was the first IFBB Professional League victory for Shaun Clarida (since earning his IFBB Pro card by winning the Bantamweight Class at the 2012 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships, where IFBB Pro Brian Yersky and IFBB Pro Justin Compton also turned pro).

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Fouad Abiad's Vancouver victory came just two months after his first professional bodybuilding win at the Europa Show of Champions Orlando Pro Championships in Florida. Kudos to the 36-year-old (who is also a promoter of amateur bodybuilding contests in Canada) -- going from no wins since earning his pro card at the 2006 Canadian Nationals to double automatic qualifications for the "Super Bowl of bodybuilding" in a single year. American IFBB Pro Kevin Jordan had been on the pre-contest list but did not compete, eliminating a possible threat to Abiad, who also defeated a fellow Canadian making his pro debut -- Paulo Almeida (who just turned pro by winning the Canadian Bodybuilding Federation CBBF Canadian Bodybuilding Championships two weeks ago, and who some say bring a "monster" factor that would be appreciated by fans of IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay, a.k.a. "Big Ramy," winner of the Arnold Sports Festival's 2015 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Brasil).
