The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro James "Flex" Lewis won the 212 Division at the 2012 IFBB British Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Manchester, England. The Welsh-born athlete defended his title, repeating his win at this event in 2011. IFBB Pro Sami Alhaddad took 2nd place. IFBB Pro Jose Raymond finished in 3rd place. IFBB Pro Eduardo Correa da Silva (10th place finisher in the Open Division at the Arnold Sports Festival's 2012 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, won by "Quadrasaurus" IFBB Pro Branch Warren) was awarded with 4th place. IFBB Pro Muhammad Masoom was the 5th place finisher.

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend 212 Showdown in Las Vegas, Nevada, and face reigning Olympia 212 Showdown Champion IFBB Pro James Lewis next year.

Andrew Oye's Verdict:
Since earning his IFBB Pro card at the 2007 UKBFF British Championships, the Welshman has been climbing the ranks in the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness at contests in the both America and Europe. IFBB Pro Flex Lewis solidified his place at the top of the 212 Class when he won the Olympia 212 Showdown at the 2012 Olympia Weekend last month (where IFBB Pro Phil Heath won the Mr. Olympia title). For Lewis, this year had a very different lead-in to the British Grand Prix. Last year, he entered the 2011 London contest after taking a year off from competition following a 5th place finish at the 2009 Olympia 202 Showdown.
