The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup
The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson delivered a winning physique at the 2013 Australian Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships. IFBB Pro Toney Freeman nabbed 2nd place. IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski grabbed 3rd place. IFBB Pro Ed Nunn was placed in the 4th position. IFBB Pro Ivan Sadek took 5th place, and Australia-based Greek IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos landed in 6th place.
The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System: (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to eligibility to compete at the 2013 Olympia in Las Vegas and face reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath. Like last year's Aussie Grand Prix winner, IFBB Pro Branch Warren (who did not compete this year), Dexter Jackson doubled-up on victories, winning the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic a week prior to succeeding in Australia.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Though Toney Freeman and Ben Pakulski swapped their placings from the 2013 Arnold Sports Festival muscle contest, it's no surprise the Arnold Classic champion Dexter Jackson was victorious in Melbourne so close to his win in Columbus, OH. Resume-wise, Dexter Jackson is becoming one of the most storied athletes in competitive pro bodybuilding history.
