The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro David Henry dominated the field to command a 1st place finish in the 202 Division at the IFBB Jacksonville Pro Bodybuilding Championships, part of the Dexter Jackson Classic. IFBB Pro Jaroslav Horvath took 2nd place. At 5'5" and 195 lbs., the Slovakian bodybuilder, who competed at the 2008 Olympia 202 Showdown, rocks a good V-taper when he flares his lats. IFBB Pro Michael Valentino was awarded the 3rd place spot.

The remaining field: IFBB Pro Steve Namat (4th), former NFL Pro Football player IFBB Pro Nate Wonsley (5th), IFBB Pro Jeff Long (6th), IFBB Pro John Frederick Arendsz (8th), IFBB Pro Jocelyn Jean (9th), IFBB Pro Carlos Rabiei (10th), IFBB Pro Allan Ichinose (11th), IFBB Pro Anthony Finocchiaro (12th), IFBB Pro Daryl Stafford (13th).

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the Top-3 placing IFBB Pro League athletes earn qualifications to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in September to challenge reigning Olympia 202 Showdown Champion IFBB Pro Kevin English in Las Vegas. This victory was both a "no brainer" and a redemption of sorts for David Henry. Once viewed as the king of the 202 Division, Henry recently took a controversial 2nd place finish against winner IFBB Pro Jose Raymond at the Battle of Champions in Hartford. He needed (and was expected) to take the number one spot in Jacksonville to remind folks that he hasn't lost his touch.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Next month's Olympia will be David Henry's true test. His toughest challengers, none of whom were in Jacksonville, will be in Vegas -- English, Raymond, IFBB Pro Flex Lewis, IFBB Pro Eduardo Correa, IFBB Pro Mark Dugdale and IFBB Pro Tricky Jackson. And since the Arnold Sports Festival has yet to add a 202 Division contest to the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, the Olympia Showdown title is the highest for Henry's weight class. (Meanwhile, in the Open Class, IFBB Pro Jay Cutler defends the Mr. Olympia title against the likes of IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson, IFBB Pro Branch Warren, IFBB Pro Phl Heath and IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel.)
