The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Competitors List, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup, WSM Pro Athletes Roundup, Strongman, Strength Sports

The Scoop: Just Announced: Promoters of the Toronto SuperShow just released the list of IFBB Pro League athletes that will compete at the 2012 IFBB Toronto Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Canada (June 2).

Open Class Competitors:
IFBB Pro Mike Asiedu
IFBB Pro Grigori Atoyan
IFBB Pro Fidel Clarke
IFBB Pro Jon Delarosa
IFBB Pro Vaughan E.
IFBB Pro Seth Feroce
IFBB Pro Renaldo Gairy
IFBB Pro Darren Toma
IFBB Pro Christopher White
IFBB Pro Bill Wilmore

The "So What?": This is a completely different list from last year's lineup at the inaugural Toronto Pro Championships, which was won by IFBB Pro Craig Richardson against competitors like IFBB Pro Lionel Beyeke, IFBB Pro Brandon Curry, Canadian IFBB Pro Frank McGrath, and IFBB Pro Robert Piotrkowicz.

Scheduled to appear at the Toronto Pro SuperShow Expo: 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman; 2011 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath; 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler; and 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson (who finished in 5th place at the Arnold Sports Festival's 2012 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, won by IFBB Pro Branch Warren). As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," 6-time WSM World's Strongest Man finalist and 2012 Quebec Open Bodybuilding Champ Hugo Girard will host the strongman challenge.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The pre-contest frontrunner is probably Bill Wilmore, but this looks like an open opportunity for any of the competitors, all of whom want to secure IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series points for Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend. WSM contender and 6-time Canada's Strongest Man winner Hugo Girard described his leap from powerlifting pro strongman to competitive bodybuilder as "a nice transition to a new lifestyle." Maybe his story will inspire some IFBB Pro League athletes to try strength sports in addition to their pursuit of physique sports.
