The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," IFBB Pro Troy Alves won the 2011 IFBB Hartford Pro Bodybuilding Championships. Returning from last year's contest to compete in Connecticut are: Grigori Atoyan, Adorthus Cherry, Jeff Long and Fred Smalls. Hennie Kotze bumps up from the 202 (now 212) Division to compete in the Open Division. The accompanying expo features: CrossFit, MMA, grappling, arm wrestling, powerlifting, karate, strongman, tae kwan do, and more. Scheduled seminars: 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler and the Arnold Sports Festival's 2-time IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Champion IFBB Pro Branch Warren.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: This contest is a toss-up, with names like Grigori Atoyan, Juan Morel, Essa Obaid, and Moe Bannout predicted to possibly top the lineup. All of the competitors on the list are hungry for the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series points, because none of them have had the opportunity to step on the sough-after main stage at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend, where, this year, reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath defends his title.
