The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Competitors List, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Aussie Grand Prix organizers just released the list of IFBB Pro League athletes that will compete at the 2012 IFBB Australian Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Melbourne, Australia this weekend (March 17).

Open Division Competitors
IFBB Pro Lionel Brown
IFBB Pro Omar Deckard
IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos
IFBB Pro Darryn Onekawa
IFBB Pro Varinder Singh Ghuman
IFBB Pro Luke Timms
IFBB Pro Branch Warren

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," winner of the 2012 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, IFBB Pro Branch Warren skipped last year's Australian Pro Grand Prix after winning the 2011 Arnold Classic, instead opting to hit the 2011 IFBB British Grand Prix, where he won the Open Division (and IFBB Pro Flex Lewis won the 212/202 Division). Fresh off his second consecutive victory at the Arnold Sports Festival, Branch Warren is bringing his huge "Quadrasaurus" legs and his "Most Muscular" Award from Columbus, Ohio, to grab the Aussie title won by IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf last year.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Texan Branch Warren is the clear pre-contest frontrunner at this International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness event. Thus, he'll most likely nab the automatic Olympia qualification that comes with 1st place (even though he doesn't need it), and leave the rest of the field scrapping over the remaining points in the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series, which awards points for a chance to attend Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas to take on reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath, who rose to the IFBB throne over 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler last year.
