The Item: Contest Results, New IFBB Pro League Cards, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Announced: Mirsad Terzo won the 90 kg Class at the 2010 Juliette Bergmann Classic Bodybuilding Championships, which was held at the Forties Theatre in Schiedam, Holland. Terzo overtook a fellow European Championships bronze medal winner, earning a qualification for pro athlete status in the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness.

The "So What?": Mirsad Terzo was the silver medal winner at the 2010 Andreas Frey Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Berlin. As far as I know, Terzo becomes the first bodybuilder from Bosnia and Herzegovina to earn an IFBB Pro card (or, at the very least, he'll be the only actively competitive one). This victory occurred at the inaugural NBBF/IFBB Nederland Bergmann Classic, where retired IFBB Pro Tony Pearson (who also did a brief stint in WWE CEO Vince McMahon's WBF World Bodybuilding Federation in 1991) was a guest poser, along with Netherlands' IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar. Terzo says he has his sights set on competing in August 2011, either at the IFBB Jacksonville Pro Bodybuilding Championships (won by IFBB Pro David Henry this year) or the Europa SuperShow Dallas Pro Bodybuilding Championships (won by IFBB Pro Seth Feroce), which are qualifiers for Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (won by Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler about two months ago).

Andrew Oye's Verdict: In addition to the task of prepping for his pro debut in the 202 Division, new IFBB Pro Mirsad Terzo now has the added pressure of "repping" pro bodybuilding's possibilities in Bosnia.

Addendum: This report of Terzo joining the ranks of IFBB Pro League athletes will be deemed tentative, pending his acceptance of the pro status qualification. Some athletes decline and continue competing on the amateur circuit at more established contests -- as I was just informed by the organizers of the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships and stated in the previous edition "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" that William Bonac (who won the Over 90 kg Class and Overall title at the same NBBF event) will do, taking the Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding Championships stage at next year's Arnold Sports Festival. Terzo may elect (or be required) to do the same.
