The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup includes Mr. Olympia Phil Heath and Olympia 212 Showdown Champ James "Flex" Lewis.

The "So What?": While 2-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath hosted a training and nutrition seminar in Sacramento, California, other International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness pros were still on other continents, following a string of recent international IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series competitions that nearly closes the 2012 IFBB Pro League contest season (except for the Masters Olympia in Florida next month -- where the lineup is expected to include names like IFBB Pro Darrem Charles, IFBB Pro Troy Alves, IFBB Pro Dennis James, IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos and "The Rock" IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel).

IFBB Pro Toney Freeman and IFBB Pro Flex Lewis were featured guests-posers at the Trofeo 2 Torri Grand Prix Championships in Bologna, Italy. IFBB Pro Evan Centopani (who placed 3rd at the Arnold Sports Festival's 2012 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, won by "Quadrasaurus" IFBB Pro Branch Warren) guest-posed at the IFBB Victorian Championships in Melbourne, Australia, where Canadian IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski (another "Quadzilla" type with beastly leg development) was also spotted at a local autograph-signing gig.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Cool factoid for my "Bodybuilding and Benevolence" files: Proceeds from Phil Heath's seminar benefited a children's hospital charity -- a gift-giving effort on the part of the big winner of Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend who is nicknamed "The Gift." The former University of Denver, Colorado, Division I collegiate basketball player and 2005 Mr. USA earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the Heavyweight Class and Overall title at the 2005 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships. The MUSCLE INK Magazine cover athlete claimed his first Olympia Sandow trophy last year by defeating his friend, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler, and then defended his championship title at this year's "Super Bowl of bodybuilding."
