The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" latest roundup includes Egyptian champs and the Reigning Champ.

The "So What?":
Over the weekend, new IFBB Pro Ibrahim Sami Fahim won 1st place in the Over 100 kg Category and the Overall Title at the 2013 Amateur Mr. Olympia in Isa Town, Kingdom of Bahrain, which automatically enters him in the IFBB Pro League Olympia Qualification Series to compete at the 2014 Olympia Weekend. Ibrahim Sami Fahim (who won his first Amateur Olympia title in the 100 kg Category in 2012, as well as the Arnold Sports Festival's 2013 Arnold Amateur 100 kg Category at the Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid) hails from Egypt- the country that produced IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a. "Big Ramy"), who won the Amateur Olympia title in 2012. A rising bodybuilding star, Mamdouh 'Big Ramy' Elssbiay returned to the event and guest-posed. Three-time and reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath was also in attendance for a meet-and-greet autograph signing.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Both of the Amateur Olympia's guests were recently asked about their international travels. 2013 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Europe Champion and Seattle-raised, former basketball player Phil Heath says, "I never thought I'd see half of these places [I travel to], but when I became a pro bodybuilder I knew I'd have an opportunity to see the world. I'm acquainted with quite a few [NBA] pro basketball players who haven't seen half of what I've seen, and they probably never will. I feel blessed that I've seen so many countries, and I have fans all over the world."

About whether he'll relocate to America, former-fisherman-turned-trainer Mamdouh 'Big Ramy' Elssbiay (who finished 8th at his Olympia debut, a spot below an improved 7th place IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar, a spot above 9th place IFBB Pro Branch Warren and just two spots below 6th place IFBB Pro Jay Cutler), says, "Of course, it's every bodybuilder's dream to live in Venice Beach, to train at Gold's [Gym], and live among other bodybuilders. But all my support is here in Kuwait- my wife and kids, my friends, and my mentor. I will probably spend some of my off-season this year in the U.S. to see if there's any advantage to training there."
