ANDREW OYES IFBB PRO ATHLETES ROUNDUP:MR. OLYMPIA JAY CUTLER, BRANCH WARREN, VICTOR MARTINEZ, SHAWN RHODEN, HIDETADA YAMAGISHI
The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop:
Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" latest roundup includes Arnold Classic champs and a champion promoter.

The "So What?":  Over the weekend, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler did an interview while driving through the streets of Las Vegas, on the day of his NPC Jay Cutler Desert Classic Championships. He discussed his excitement about transitioning into promoting the sport of bodybuilding. "I said I'll be giving back...I never thought I'd be a promoter. Now I'm promoting a lot of events, but it's pretty cool to have the local support," he said proudly of his contest at The Palms, a venue that hosts rock concerts and UFC fights. He also mentioned upcoming events in Wyoming, Massachusetts and Maryland.

As he prepares for the New York Pro (an IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series contest), IFBB Pro Victor Martinez landed in Russia to guest pose at the Alexander Vishnevsky Cup Bodybuilding Championships. He also hosted a seminar in Moscow. The 39-year-old hasn't competed since winning the Arnold Sports Festival's IFBB Pro Arnold Classic Europe in 2011. Meanwhile, 2011 and 2012 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champ IFBB Pro Branch Warren was a guest poser at the NPC Mid Illinois Championships in Ottawa.

Back on the international front, IFBB Pro Hidetada Yamagishi and IFBB Pro Shawn Rhoden guest posed at the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Grand Prix in Denmark (where IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel's former contest prep coach Manuel Bauer made a comeback and won after four years off from competition).

Andrew Oye's Verdict: As I reported in MUSCLE INK Magazine, Jay Cutler wants to collect his 5th Olympia Sandow trophy from reigning 2-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath in September; yet, some fans still say Martinez should have the 2007 Sandow that Cutler collected amid controversy.
