The Item: Legends Update, Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup, ASC Pro Athletes Roundup, Strength Sports, Combat Sports

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes and athletes from other pro sports leagues had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup includes an Olympia Sandow trophy winner who also promotes contests; a winner of Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (a.k.a. the "Super Bowl of bodybuilding") who has also won the most Schwarzenegger-promoted contests; and a pro wrestler and strongman who also competes in contests in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness.

The "So What?": Over the weekend, promoter and 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler made a guest appearance at the NPC Jay Cutler Baltimore Classic Championships in Maryland, which featured an Armed Forces Division for competitors and a guest poser who is also a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force -- IFBB Pro Luis Santa. Santa earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the Middleweight Class at the 2011 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships, where IFBB Pro Steve Kuclo won the Super-Heavyweight Class and Overall title of Mr. USA. Overseas, Army Sergeant IFBB Pro Cedric McMillan was the special guest-poser at the BWBF Rhein-Neckar Pokal Bodybuilding Championships in Hockenheim, Germany, the same event where he appeared last year.

Speaking of the Texas-based firefighter/paramedic, 2014 Arnold Classic Brasil Champion Steve Kuclo and IFBB Pro Kenneth Jackson were the featured guest-posers at the NPC Western Michigan Bodybuilding Championships in Kentwood, Michigan. Speaking of the Brazilian Arnold Classic, its inaugural winner in 2013, IFBB Pro Brandon Curry, hosted the 5th Annual NPC Music City Muscle Bodybuilding Championships in Nashville, Tennessee, where this year's Impact Award recipient was legendary 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson (a.k.a. "The Blade"), who has set the record for the most wins at the Arnold Sports Festival's IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Columbus, Ohio (five total, breaking IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler's record), and also set the record for the most Arnold Classic wins across the various franchises in a single year (Arnold Classic USA, Arnold Classic Australia, and Arnold Classic Europe in 2015). Ironically, one of the franchises Jackson has yet to win is the one won by Curry (IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay, a.k.a. "Big Ramy," won the 2015 Arnold Classic Brasil).

Andrew Oye's Strength+Power: Pro Wrestler, Pro Strongman Jon Andersen, IFBB Pro Bodybuilder

The 2012 Arnold Classic Europe Champion IFBB Pro Shawn Rhoden and winner of the inaugural 2015 Arnold Classic Physique contest IFBB Pro Sadik Hadzovic were the headlining guest-posers at the NPC East Coast Bodybuilding Championships in Wayne, New Jersey. IFBB Pro Justin Compton and 4-time Ms. Figure Olympia IFBB Pro Nicole Wilkins guest-posed at NPC Elite Muscle Classic Championships, promoted by retired IFBB Pro Quincy Roberts in Greensboro, North Carolina. IFBB Pro Evan Centopani was the guest-poser at the NPC Southern Muscle Bodybuilding Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The 2-time Physique Olympia Champion IFBB Pro Jeremy Buendia helped present awards to athletes at the finals of the NPC/IFBB Pro Sacramento Bodybuilding Championships in California, where he also participated in a posing clinic along with IFBB Pro Jon Andersen (who is featured in a recently released trailer for a lucha-libre pro-wrestling documentary film titled "Lucha Mexico.")

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Hailing from Humacao, Puerto Rico, military man Luis Santa never competed in an Armed Forces Division throughout his time as an amateur competitive bodybuilder, which began in 1998. "[Bodybuilding] keeps you fit, and being fit makes you…above the average body. Therefore, we are looked up to as bodies that motivate and inspire others. To know that I’ve inspired and motivated someone else makes me feel good," says 41-year-old, 5'6", 212-pound Santa, who also enjoys baseball, karate and golf, about the effect of bodybuilding on the quality of life. Santa has competed five pro IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series contests (2012 New York Pro, 2013 Phoenix Pro, 2014 Phoenix Pro, 2014 Tampa Pro, 2015 Phoenix Pro). Since turning pro at the 2014 NPC Masters Nationals, life for actual multi-sport athlete Jon Andersen (2003 North American Strongest Man Champion, MUSCLE INK Magazine Strength+Power Series) has included a 5th place finish at the 2015 Golden State Pro (won by U.S. Army Sergeant/IFBB Pro Cedric McMillan) and an 8th place finish at the 2015 Texas Pro (won by powerlifter/IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson).
