The Item: Career Updates, Legends Update, Special Appearances, Contest Preparation, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: An army of IFBB Pro League athletes will make appearances at the 2011 BodyPower Expo, one of the UK's leading health, fitness and nutrition expos, this week (May 21-22). At the NEC in Birmingham, competitive bodybuilders will meet-and-greet fans alongside a long list of other athletes, including Olympic weightlifters, mixed martial arts MMA fighters, powerlifters, boxers, WSM World's Strongest Man strongman competitors, action-movie actors, fitness models and more.
The "So What?": The "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup often includes athletes making guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events in different locations around the globe. The latest roundup is a rundown of champions and contenders slated to appear under one roof at the BodyPower Expo, including: the United Kingdom's own bodybuilding legend -- 6-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dorian Yates; legendary 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman; reigning 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler; 4-time winner of the Arnold Sports Festival's IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships -- IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler; first-ever Arnold Classic winner in 1989 --  IFBB Pro Rich Gaspari; actor and IFBB Pro Gunter Schlierkamp; 2009 Arnold Amateur Champ and IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar; former collegiate wrestler and IFBB Pro Andy Haman; IFBB Pro Troy Alves, IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf, IFBB Pro Evan Centopani, and British bodybuilders IFBB Pro Flex Lewis, IFBB Pro Zack Khan, 2-time NABBA Mr. Universe Dave Titterton, and NABBA Mr. England Super-Heavyweight Champion Lukas Gabris, plus many more.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The bodybuilding scene in the UK is strong. The 2010 BodyPower Expo (where IFBB Pro Phil Heath and IFBB Pro Toney Freeman appeared) drew a crowd of nearly 16,000 people. This year, a similar crowd is expected "across the pond." Meanwhile, Stateside, fans and competitors are anxiously gearing up for next week's IFBB New York Pro Bodybuilding Championships. This major qualifier for Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas expects names like IFBB Pro Pavol Jablonicky, IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel, IFBB Pro Grigori Atoyan and IFBB Pro Cedric McMillan, as well as pro debuts by IFBB Pro Robert Burneika and IFBB Pro Jason Huh.
