The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup includes veteran pros and top-tier pros pairing up for international gigs, as well as news from Portugal to Italy to Brasil to Australia to the USA.

The "So What?": Over the weekend, UK-based IFBB Pro Ricardo Correia hosted a nutrition, training and supplementation seminar with his contest prep coach at the Academia Antonio Mesquita in Porto, Portugal. The promo for the event touted Correia as "the first and only Portuguese athlete to compete in the IFBB Pro circuit." Spending the weekend in the northeastern US, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler made an appearance to encourage athletes competing at the NPC New England Bodybuilding Championships in Boston, Massachusetts. The following day, he hosted his NPC Jay Cutler Baltimore Classic Championships in Maryland (which included an Armed Forces Division). IFBB Italia presented the inaugural Daniele Seccarecci Classic Championships in Rome, Italy, in honor of departed IFBB Pro Daniele Seccarecci, who passed away last year at just 33.

Winner of the first-ever Arnold Classic Brasil in 2013, IFBB Pro Brandon Curry hosted the 4th Annual NPC Music City Muscle Championships in Nashville, Tennessee, where guest-poser IFBB Pro Tanji Johnson (3-time Fitness Olympia runner-up and 2011 Arnold Classic Europe Fitness Champion) performed an energetic routine. Speaking of Arnold Sports Festival alumni, IFBB Pro Branch Warren and IFBB Pro Rich Gaspari made various stops during the Expo Nutrition in Sao Paulo, Brasil. Business-wise and competitor-wise, Gaspari (winner of the inaugural IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in 1989) and Warren (2011 and 2012 Arnold Classic Champion) have recently expressed their influence on each other.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The end of the season is a good time for athletes to do various kinds of tours. The International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness ends the 2014 calendar year with the last Open Division bodybuilding contest to grant IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series points for the 2015 Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend  -- the inaugural Ferrigno Legacy Championships hosted by "Incredible Hulk," IFBB Pro Lou Ferrigno in Santa Barbara, California (November 29).

An athlete who seems to be on an unofficial guest-posing tour with his many recent appearances, IFBB Pro Justin Compton was the featured guest-poser at the IFBB/NPC Sacramento Pro Bodybuilding Championships (SacPro) in California. Athletes on an actual Australian tour, popular IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a.
