The "So What?": Over the weekend, former host of ESPN TV's "American Muscle Magazine" and retired IFBB Pro Michael Francois hosted the NPC Mike Francois Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Westerville, OH. The featured guest at the NPC Illinois State Bodybuilding Championships was Olympia 212 Showdown Champion IFBB Pro Flex Lewis (who was also part of last week's all-star lineup in Pittsburgh, including Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath, IFBB Pro Jay Cutler, IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson, IFBB Pro Branch Warren, IFBB Pro Kai Greene, IFBB Pro Shawn Rhoden, and IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf). Prepping to compete at the upcoming New York Pro Championships (an IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series contest), IFBB Pro Jose Raymond guest-posed at the IFBB/NPC Louisiana Bodybuilding Championships. IFBB Pro An Nguyen flexed on stage at the NPC Contra Costa Bodybuilding Championships in Hayward, CA. Hall of Fame retired IFBB Pro Shawn Ray emceed the NPC/IFBB Powerhouse National Classic in Minnesota.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Congrats again to 2011 Hall of Fame IFBB Pro Mike Francois, whose Ohio contest is held in the home state of the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, which just celebrated its 25th Anniversary and honored all Arnold Classic winners, including 1995 champ Francois.
