The Item: Career Updates, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: IFBB Pro David Henry released his latest DVD project titled "David Henry - Beyond Motivated," a massive 2-disc, 6-hour set that shows Henry as a highly driven and, yes, motivated individual who constantly strives for perfection. Whether his focus is on his family, his active-duty military career, or his pro-bodybuilding career, Henry's dedication, work ethic and affirmative attitude have all contributed to his success.

The "So What?": Henry's strict military background familiarized him with the ideals for achievement -- discipline, determination, and dedication. "Beyond Motivated" takes viewers into Henry's world as he prepares to defend his 202 Division title at the 2009 IFBB Olympia 202 Showdown at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas (where, as reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson would also attempt to defend his Open-Division title against 2-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler and IFBB Pro Branch Warren). Fans can witness Henry's hardcore workouts, posing practice, food preparation, and other aspects of pro-bodybuilder life. Bonus footage includes home movies of his family trips and a post-Olympia acupuncture session with NPC bodybuilder Dr. Scott Stevenson.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: While he placed 15th in the Open Division behind IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel at the 2008 Mr. Olympia Olympia contest, David Henry won the first-ever contest for IFBB Pro League athletes in the 202 Division at the 2008 Olympia Weekend. He was widely expected to be the dominant king of that class for a long time. However, to the surprise of many (in a battle that also included IFBB Pro Eduardo Correa, IFBB Pro Mark Dugdale and IFBB Pro Flex Lewis), he was quickly dethroned by IFBB Pro Kevin English at the 2009 Olympia Weekend Expo, slipping to 2nd place. Since last year's Olympia results were questioned by many in attendance, maybe Henry is "beyond motivated" to reclaim dominance of the 202 Class this year.  And, like many others, he's probably hoping the Arnold Sports Festival will soon add its 202-Division companion to the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships. Henry placed 12th in the Open Division of the 2008 Arnold Classic (won by Dexter Jackson).
