The Headline: ANDREW OYE'S ARNOLD CLASSIC REPORT: IFBB PRO DEXTER JACKSON WINS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER CLASSIC BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ARNOLD SPORTS FESTIVAL IN MADRID, SPAIN, AND BECOMES FIRST IFBB PRO LEAGUE ATHLETE TO WIN THREE ARNOLD CLASSIC INTERNATIONAL TITLES (USA, AUSTRALIA, EUROPE)

The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Legends Update, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson was crowned with yet another Arnold Classic title, winning 1st place at the 2015 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Europe Bodybuilding Championships in Madrid, Spain. IFBB Pro Shawn Rhoden stayed put, finishing in 2nd place again. IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf took 3rd place, swapping spots with Jackson from their placings last year. IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a. "Big Ramy") fetched 4th place. Holding the same spot as last year, IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar remained in 5thplace.

The remaining field of physiques: keeping his spot from last last year -- IFBB Pro William Bonac (6th), dropping from 4th place last year -- IFBB Pro Victor Martinez (7th), IFBB Pro Juan Morel (8th), IFBB Pro Brandon Curry (9th), IFBB Pro Steve Kuclo (10th), IFBB Pro Fred Smalls (11th), IFBB Pro Alex Fedorov (12th), IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos (13th), IFBB Pro Alexey Lesukov (14th), IFBB Pro Zack Khan (15th), and IFBB Pro Carlos Ascensio (16th).

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System: (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 6 Points, 3rd - 5 Points, 4th - 4 Points, 5th - 3 Points) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at the 2016 Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend to face reigning Mr. Olympia Phil Heath in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was the first contest of the new IFBB OQS season. The Arnold Classic Europe is a Tier 2 contest, i.e., one of few to award more points per placing than Tier 3 and Tier 4 contests. The Arnold Sports Festival also included strongman, powerlifting, fitness, MMA, wrestling, CrossFit and martial arts competitions. Last year, legendary 7-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger was named the first-ever Ambassador of Tourism by the City of Madrid.

Many of the contenders at the Arnold Classic Europe had just competed in previous weekend's "Super Bowl of bodybuilding," where IFBB Pro Phil Heath (2013 Arnold Classic Europe Champion) won his fifth Mr. Olympia title; so, as expected, the order of the final placings at both contests were practically the same – Jackson, Rhoden, Wolf, Elssbiay, Winklaar and Martinez occupied Top 10 slots in Nevada and in Spain. In addition, several of the competitors were past Arnold Classic winners: Martinez (inaugural 2011 Arnold Classic Europe, 2007 Arnold Classic USA), Rhoden (2012 Arnold Classic Europe), Wolf (2014 Arnold Classic Europe, 2014 Arnold Classic USA), Curry (inaugural 2013 Arnold Classic Brasil), Kuclo (2014 Arnold Classic Brasil), and Elssbiay (2015 Arnold Classic Brasil). Jackson became the fifth Arnold Classic Europe champion.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Like Dennis Wolf did last year, Dexter Jackson won both the Arnold Classic USA and Arnold Classic Europe in 2015. The differences? Jackson's win in Columbus, Ohio, was a record-breaking feat, surpassing the four-win tie he had shared with retired IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler. Jackson's win in Madrid, Spain, was a record-setting feat, making the man nicknamed "The Blade" the first to win three Arnold Classic titles in a single year -- because the 45-year-old also won the inaugural Arnold Classic Australia in March. Undoubtedly, Jackson is one of the best to ever compete in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness -- holding a wide array of prestigious titles, including 2008 Mr. Olympia and 2012 Masters Olympia Champion. One would assume the mature competitor has an eye on retirement; however, if he wanted to exit with a major splash and if it were possible for him to win the Arnold Classic Brasil and the Arnold Classic South Africa (set to launch in 2016) – he could become the first-ever professional bodybuilder to collect a clean-sweep of victories at all of the currently operating Arnold Classic franchises.
