The "So What?": The 2011 Arnold Classic Europe marks the first time the team behind the Columbus, Ohio-based Arnold Sports Festival has packed up the show and taken a version of it "across the pond." Winner of the 2011 Arnold Classic in North America (March 5), IFBB Pro Branch Warren will not compete in Spain. As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," Warren sustained an injury this summer that also caused him to miss the 2011 Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (won by new Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath, who unseated 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler in Las Vegas, Nevada).

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Five competitors from the 2011 Arnold Classic in Columbus will make the trek to Spain -- Toney Freeman, Dexter Jackson, Victor Martinez, Robert Piotrkowicz and Ronny Rockel. They also represent the front-runners for the Euro Arnold Classic. Primarily a 202 Division competitor, Wales-born Flex Lewis takes on the larger Open Division athletes and might surprise being back on European soil.

Austria-born movie actor ("Terminator," "Conan The Barbarian," "Pumping Iron"), former California Governor and 7-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger began his contest promotion entrepreneurship in 1989 with the first Arnold Classic Championships in Ohio, where he recently had a statue dedicated in his honor by the ISHOF International Sports Hall of Fame. That North American competition was won first by IFBB Pro Rich Gaspari and would be eventually won by IFBB Pro Lee Mike Ashley, IFBB Pro Shawn Ray, IFBB Pro Vince Taylor, IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler, IFBB Pro Kevin Levrone, IFBB Pro Mike Francois, IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman, Cutler, Jackson and Martinez. It will be interesting to see which physique launches the legacy of the latest bodybuilding franchise from the "Governator."
