The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the 2014 Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend marked the 50th Annual Mr. Olympia Bodybuilding Championships, where reigning champion Phil Heath won his fourth Sandow trophy. Last year, reigning Olympia 212 Showdown James "Flex" Lewis also retained his position at the head of the Lightweight Class. This year, Welsh-born Lewis acquired his record-breaking fourth consecutive victory -- making history by breaking the three-win tie he had shared with Kevin English. Similarly, in the Open-Division, Mr. Olympia Phil Heath's fifth straight victory broke the four-win tie he had shared with IFBB Pro Jay Cutler.

In fact, there was no change in many of the other divisions of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, with several Olympia champions holding on to their titles: 2-time Ms. Fitness Olympia IFBB Pro Oksana Grishina; 3-time Ms. Bikini Olympia title IFBB Pro Ashley Kaltwasser; and 2-time Physique Showdown Champions IFBB Pro Jeremy Buendia and IFBB Pro Juliana Malacarne. The exception was new Ms. Figure Olympia IFBB Pro Latorya Watts defeating 4-time champion IFBB Pro Nicole Wilkins.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Flex Lewis' dominance of the 212 Division still stands. Jose Raymond's runner-up finish in the Olympia 212 Showdown (up one spot from last year) continues the rise of "The Boston Mass," who also won the Arnold Sports Festival's second-ever 212 contest at the 2015 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Columbus, Ohio. (Lewis won the Arnold Classic's inaugural 212-Division contest in 2014.) A former Open-Division competitor, Hidetada Yamagishi bumped up one slot in this's year Olympia 212 contest. First-ever Olympia Showdown Champion in 2008, David Henry leaped a whopping five spots -- regaining a bit of clout for the past winner who went from being the 2nd place runner-up for four consecutive then surprisingly dropping to 9th place last year. -- a contrast to former champion Kevin English's disappointing showing this year.

Eduardo Correa Da Silva slipped three spots from last year, while Guy Cisternino bounced two steps upward. Charles Dixon and Ahmad Ahmad climbed three rungs each on the ladder from last year. Former Open-Division competitor Craig Richardson landed in the Top 10 at his Olympia 212 Showdown debut. After skipping last year's event, as well as the entire 2014 contest season, Al Auguste returned to a 10th place finish in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, IFBB Pro Baitollah Abbaspour, who had qualified to take the stage, passed away last month. While he might have made a dent in the Top 5 as he did last year, that was not the case for any of the Olympia 212 Showdown newcomers who made their debuts: Kyung Won Kang, Alex Cambronero, Kim Jun Ho, Shaun Clarida, and Zane Watson. Up next on the 212 Division schedule, launching the next cycle of the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series (for 2016): the IFBB Korean Pro Bodybuilding Championships.
