N-acetyl-cysteine is one of three sulfur-containing amino acids and is generally understood to function as an antioxidant and fighter of free radicals. Supplementing with NAC may increase cellular glutathione levels and support immune function. This formulation contains 500 mg of NAC per one-capsule dose.
