For Extreme Strength Enhancement
Beta-alanine is an amino acid that is not used in the synthesis of proteins and enzymes in the body. Instead, our bodies combine it with histidine to synthesize carnosine, with beta-alanine being the rate-limiting substrate in carnosine synthesis. Data from muscle biopsies of bodybuilders have shown that carnosine content in vastus lateralis is elevated compared to those from untrained individuals, suggesting an important role for this amino acid in human muscular and strength development. Dietary supplementation with beta-alanine for 2-4 weeks increases vastus lateralis carnosine concentration by more than 60% in trained individuals. Furthermore, research shows that beta alanine supplementation improves muscular force production and decreases muscular fatigue. Recent evidence clearly illustrates that prolonged beta-alanine ingestion results in significant increases in strength and lean body mass and decreases in body fat percentage. ProSource was one of the first manufacturers to introduce a pure, premium-grade Beta Alanine supplement, and its Beta Alanine continues to be the industry's finest.
