Zero Mass Gain?
Chances are you're missing one or more of these bodybuilding gems.
If mass building is on top of your list, leucine needs to be there as well. Leucine is recognized as having several important anabolic properties such as promoting muscle synthesis via nitrogen balance, preserving glycogen and supporting strength during exercise. What serious bodybuilder could ask for more? In a recent double blind placebo controlled study, untrained men were given 4 grams per day of leucine while a placebo was given to a control group. After 12 weeks, the men given the leucine were shown to have a 10% increase in strength.
(1) With all the recent clinical study on leucine, it's no wonder it has become the most popular of the BCAA's and one of the more crucial supplements to help support muscle synthesis. Leucine can be found in ProSource's BCAA formula or taken by itself, ProSource Leucine, 2 grams before and 2 grams after workouts.
