My Story: Ever since I was about 8, I was overweight. I had a gym membership since 2008, but I never knew how to train correctly. Whenever I went, my whole workout consisted of cardio machines. I constantly made excuses for why I couldn't lose weight, & never found real motivation to try. My nutrition was horrible. I yo-yo dieted & starved myself. I never saw any results, and felt that all efforts were wasted. In 2011, my long distance boyfriend of 6 years moved to California and started taking me to the gym with him. He taught me how to weight train, and the importance of proper nutrition. At first I only went with him a few days a week, but I actually started to love going. I started to want it for myself, and finally found the motivation I needed. I have made so much progress simply because I stayed dedicated. I hope I can motivate others and show them that it's possible to completely change your lifestyle. The more excuses you make, the longer it will take you to achieve your goals.
