The Scoop:
Athlete to Andrew: My buddy IFBB Pro Richard "Tricky" Jackson, checked
in with me to give me the lowdown on his contest prep. Tricky Jackson
is getting jacked for the 2009 Dexter Jackson Classic, a.k.a the IFBB
Jacksonville Pro Bodybuilding Championships for 202 & Under (August
1). Man, that's a lot of Jackson! "My show prep has been business as
usual. However, one thing's a little different. I have pushed my cardio
up to almost two hours per day, averaging between 90 and 120 minutes,"
Tricky tells me. This is probably why he currently stands at 5'5", 200
lbs. and a ripped 3.6% body fat. "Show time should put me about 195
lbs. and 3.3% body fat. I feel great – the best ever. My fans will be
happy. I am up 7-8 lbs. from last year. I'm harder with improvements in
my shoulders and added back thickness. God has blessed me this year."
Tricky's blessings keep him super
busy and stacked in the sponsorship department. "I am still with MHP.
In addition, I have also teamed up with Posedown Magazine, and Liquid
Sun Rayz is now my official tanning company of choice. 'Pro Muscle
Radio' show is still poppin' for me and my co-hosts Jose Raymond and
Tracy Beckham. We've recorded over 10 shows with big names in the sport
like Dave Henry, Bill Wilmore, Vinny Galanti, Stan McQuay and Ed Nunn

The "So What?":
Tricky has even more irons in the fire. "Keep an eye out for my next
DVD, 'Get Swole or Die Trying.' Fans can contact me through my website,
as well as promoters that need a guest poser to bring down the house."
Andrew Oye's verdict: No one can ever claim that Tricky is not a hard worker – on and off the stage. There should be an award for that
