The Item: Fitness Industry Event, Special Appearances

The Scoop: Recently Announced: The San Jose Fitness Expo takes over the San Jose McEnery Convention Center this weekend (July 14-15). The San Jose Fit Expo includes bodybuilding, physique, figure, bikini and strongman competitions, fitness and nutrition seminars, as well as powerlifting, Jiu Jjtsu and live MMA fights. Exhibitor booths featuring fitness, sports and nutrition products stack the convention.

The "So What?": The expo guest list includes fitness models, master trainers, fighters and athletes. Scheduled to appear: 6-time Ms. Olympia IFBB Pro Cory Everson, 4-time IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champion IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Tito Ortiz, former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Bas Rutten, UFC fighter Kyle "Kingsbu" Kingsbury, UFC referee Herb Dean, famed Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, Kron and Ryron Gracie, actor and fitness celebrity Roland Kickinger WWE Tough Enough Champion and MMA fighter Daniel Puder, IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski, MMA Fighter and Pro Wrestler Muhamed "King Mo" Lawal, and more.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the LA Fit Expo in January featured a more eclectic guest list, including a rock guitarist, R&B singer, WNBA player, pro boxing champ and some NFL players. Still, the San Jose event expects some interesting guests and touts: "This celebration of health, fitness and martial arts is one of the biggest and most unique fitness-related expos in Northern California!"
