As we continue to look at the Renegade Health Care Plan, it is worthwhile to point out that we are nearing a critical juncture. Escalating health care costs are nearing the tipping point at which many industrialized nations are faced with some drastic decisions as costs are no longer in line with revenue and the expectations of the public. In the United States alone, the total National Health Expenditures are predicted to rise fifty percent by 2015 to $4 trillion. While politicians will engage in a tug of war for power and grapple with a very difficult problem to solve, the corporate world as well as the citizenry must act on the problem or it will crush the entire system.

For those in the broad health and fitness industry, this is the most unique of opportunities as cold hard solutions must be sought to the massive challenges posed by the health care dilemma. As you understand the root of the problem, the solutions could be found within a new found training sector that embraces professionalism and assumes a great responsibility in dealing with health issues of the public.

In focusing upon reducing costs to government, private sector and individuals, modern training professionals find themselves in an emerging industry far greater than many would have expected at the start of the decade. To be a part of this massive growth industry, "trainers" must move beyond being a simple workout coordinator and embody a notion, within a professional setting, that reflects the Renegade Training philosophy of "improving the quality of lives" of our clients.

Within the United States the basic issue comes down to an aging population with some very dubious lifestyle habits as it relates to diet and healthy activities. While that statement, flowery to say the least, lacks cold, hard facts, the simple understanding that annual health costs in the next decade could stretch near twenty percent of GDP should suffice. Combined with higher medical standards, costs and the ability to sustain life, with twenty percent of the United States in their "senior" years by 2030 the situation will get drastically worse unless tackled head-on.

The delivery of quality health care, if I can generalize such an enormous area, is effectively complicated by not only an aging population but one burdened with problematic lifestyle habits, obesity and its related illnesses. Allowing political factions to bicker about balancing the social responsibility of health care with the enormous costs of the real world problem doesn't get us closer to the solution-which is found in taking a proactive course of action by first easing the public from its life on the couch.

Within the private sector, employers are stepping up programs that will proactively improve productivity, offer employment benefits within a plan that reduces costs. While certain societal aspects are beyond the scope of employers, such as increasing parkland, improving walkways and mass-transit systems (all known to positively impact general health), wise employers will need to incorporate wellness programs with a broader scope that reflect the mantra of Renegade Training; better the quality of lives. Effectively for the professional and I stress "professional" trainer this is bold commentary that effectively opens up the enormous market of wellness coaching that serpentines its way through stress-management, weigh-loss, dietary-management within a broad "lifestyle" footing.

The first step in this new frontier of the professional trainer within the Renegade Health Care Plan is understanding the root of major health problems and focusingupon preventable concerns and modifying behaviorAreas such as diet, participation in healthy recreational activities and the reduction of alcohol consumption and smoking are target one of professional trainers and their corporate clients.

In the next stage of the Renegade Health Care plan we'll consider motivational tools for training professionals on the front-lines of the problem.
