The Item: Contest Results/New IFBB Pro League Cards
The Scoop: Recently Announced: Two weeks ago, Todd Jewell made a jump from the so-so spot to the top spot, winning the Super Heavyweight Class and the Overall title at the 2011 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships in Miami. FL.
The "So What?": For his efforts, Todd Jewell earned new IFBB Pro League athlete status. Along with Jewell, the top athletes in each weight class were also awarded IFBB pro cards. An Nguyen topped the Heavyweight Class. Marco Rivera won the Light Heavyweight Class. Alan Bailey led the Middleweight Class. J.B. Bartlett took the Welterweight Class. Luis Santiago was the Lightweight Class winner. Ron Hackaspker won the Bantamweight Class.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Talk about different trajectories! Last year's winner, IFBB Pro Robert Burneika, scooted from a 2nd place runner-up position in 2009 to the winner's slot in 2010. New IFBB Pro Todd Jewell leaped from an 9th place finish at the 2010 Nationals to the 2011 champion's circle.
