The Item: Contest Results, New IFBB Pro League Cards

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, Juan Morel earned the top title at the 2011 IFBB North American Bodybuilding Championships in Cleveland, OH. Morel won the Super-Heavyweight Class and the Overall title. In turn, Morel earned an IFBB Pro League card, along with Heavyweight Class Winner Kenneth Jackson and Overall 40+ Masters Winner Sean Allan.

The "So What?": Like last year's winner, IFBB Pro Lee Banks, Morel came back from a 2nd place finish in the prior year to win the North American Championships. In 2010, Morel was the runner-up in the Heavyweight Class; however, winning in 2011 as a Super-Heavyweight, breaks the streak of Heavyweight Class winners claiming the North American Overall title for four consecutive years.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: New IFBB Pro Juan Morel and new IFBB Pro Kenneth Jackson possess good structures to enter the world of professional bodybuilding. Although, what is takes to stay in the game sometimes tests whether athletes get better at the next level than where they start at this current level.
