The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos kicked the competition to take 1st place and win the 2012 IFBB Mr. Europe Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Madrid, Spain. IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson was awarded 2nd place. The 3rd place slot was given to IFBB Pro Baitollah Abbaspour. IFBB Pro Feras Saied took 4th place, followed by IFBB Pro Sergey Shelestov in 5th place.

The "So What?": This marks Mike Kefalianos' first victory in a professional bodybuilding contest. The IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System: (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to eligibility to compete at the 2012 Olympia (September 29) in Las Vegas.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The absence of 2-time, back-to-back Mr. Europe champ Ronny Rockel from the contest may have cleared the path for Kefalianos, who also managed to leap-frog Jackson (who had beat him at the FIBO Power Germany contest a week prior) and veteran IFBB Pro Gustavo Badell.
