The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Jose Raymond won 1st place at the 2012 IFBB Pro/Am Bodybuilding Championships in Shreveport, Louisiana. IFBB Pro Marco Rivera finished in 2nd place. IFBB Pro Lyndon Belgrave landed in 3rd place. IFBB Pro Daron Lytle took 4th place, followed by IFBB Pro Vinny Galanti in 5th place.

The "So What?": The IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System: (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to eligibility to compete at the 2012 Olympia 212 Showdown (September 29) in Las Vegas. Prior to the Shreveport show, Jose Raymond last competed at the 2011 Olympia Weekend, where he took 3rd place in the 202 Showdown.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Louisiana brought good news for the vet Jose Raymond, who was easily the pre-show favorite to win; however, in the 2012 pro contest season, he has yet to face IFBB Pro Al Auguste, who has been dominating the new 212 Division with two contest victories so far.
