ANDREW OYE'S image The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson claimed the winner's spot, earning 1st place at the 2012 IFBB FIBO Power Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Essen, Germany. Taking the 2nd place position was Greek IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos. Russian IFBB Pro Sergey Shelestov finished in 3rd place. IFBB Pro Baitollah Abbaspour took 4th place, and IFBB Pro Feras Saied nabbed 5th place.

Some of the remaining field: IFBB Pro Daniel Toth (6th), IFBB Pro Tomas Bures (8th), IFBB Pro Santana Anderson (9th), IFBB Pro Leonid Istomin (10th), IFBB Pro Mathias Botthof (11th), IFBB Pro Lee Powell (12th), IFBB Pro Marc Lavoie (13th), IFBB Pro Elvis Brown (14th), IFBB Pro Jari Mentula (15th), IFBB Pro Johannes Eleftheriadis (16th), and IFBB Pro Fauzi Hanst (17th).

The "So What?": The FIBO Power Germany is the second contest off of U.S. soil to employ the newly adopted IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point), which, as reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (September 29) in Las Vegas against reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath. This was Johnnie Jackson first pro since he won the 2007 Atlantic City Pro Bodybuilding Championships.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: With inhuman trapezius development, Johnnie Jackson brings one of the most dense upper bodies to the stage, built partially by the powerlifter training that led to him winning the 2009 World's Strongest Bodybuilder Powerlifting Challenge. The absence of usual frontrunners like 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson (who recently placed 5th at the Arnold Sports Festival's 2012 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, which was won by Johnnie Jackson's buddy IFBB Pro Branch Warren) and Germany's IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel made room for less familiar names to shine in the Top 5 at the FIBO Power Pro.
