The Item: IFBB Pro League News, Contest Schedule

The Scoop: Recently Announced: Some top IFBB Pro League athletes have signed on to compete in the Sheru Classic Asian Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Mumbai, India, on September 25, a week after the 2011 Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas. Some of the names the promoters have announced include: Mr. Olympia / IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson, IFBB Pro Phil Heath, IFBB Pro Branch Warren, IFBB Pro Kai Greene, IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf, and Mr. Olympia / IFBB Pro Jay Cutler. "I am very excited to announce to my fans in India, that I will be competing," says Cutler. "This is truly an honor."

The "So What?": Most pros usually shut down after the Olympia since it marks the end of the contest season (with a couple of post-September events closing the year as qualifiers for the following year's Olympia). It's rare that top-tier pro bodybuilders compete so soon after "the Big Show," particularly in a brand new event on the League's contest schedule.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The prevailing question is whether it would be a wise career move for any of the aforementioned athletes to win the 2011 Olympia title and then risk defeat by any of the others immediately after nabbing a Sandow trophy.
