The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results
The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Guy Cisternino captured 1st place in the 202 Division at the 2011 Europa Super Show Dallas Pro Bodybuilding Championships in Texas. IFBB Pro Fernando Noronha Almeida chalked up 2nd place. IFBB Pro Ricky "Tricky" Jackson came in 3rd place. IFBB Pro Marvin Ward took 4th place and IFBB Pro Derik Farnsworth settled into the 5th place spot. The Top 3 finishers earned qualifications to compete at the 2011 Olympia 202 Showdown next month (September 16).
The "So What?': Guy Cisternino is coasting in from a nice 2nd place finish at last weekend's Jacksonville Pro Bodybuilding Championships, hosted by IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson. Cisternino's Jaxville showing was his best in a pro contest until Dallas' victory. Winner of the 2011 Best Poser Award in Dallas, Tricky Jackson placed 3rd in this competition last year, which was won by IFBB Pro Seth Feroce at his pro debut.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Heading to Las Vegas for his first Olympia 202 Showdown, IFBB Pro Guy Cisternino is climbing the ranks in a changing Division, which may or mat not be vacated by the likes of IFBB Pro Kevin English, IFBB Pro David Henry, IFBB Pro Eduardo Correa, IFBB Pro Jose Raymond and others (despite statements of an exodus to the Open Class), when the 202 Class institutes a weight-limit increase to 212 lbs. next year.
