ANDREW OYE'S image The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf was named the winner of the 2011 IFBB Australian Pro Grand Prix Bodybuilding Championships in Melbourne, Australia. Wolf had a physique high on conditioning and aesthetics to take the win. Powerlifter and IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson came in 2nd place, bringing a slightly improved package and his signature beastly back. Australia's own Greek-born IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos took 3rd place with notable shape and conditioning.

The remaining field: IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski (4th), IFBB Pro Grigori Atoyan (5th),  IFBB Pro Adorthus Cherry (6th), IFBB Pro Darryn Onekawa (7th), IFBB Pro Luke Timms (8th), IFBB Pro Varinder Singh (9th) and IFBB Pro Daniel Hill (10th).

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the Top 3 IFBB Pro athletes at the Australian Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships earn Olympia qualifications to challenge 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas (September 16). Fresh from his 2nd place finish at the Arnold Sports Festival's 2011 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, Dennis Wolf was the pre-show odds-on favorite to win the Australian Grand Prix. However, some in attendance felt Johnnie Jackson (2009 IFBB "World's Strongest Bodybuilder" Powerlifting Challenge champion) gave him an unexpected fight. Unfortunately, IFBB Pro Silvio Samuel was unable to make his comeback in Aussie Land as he had planned, pending visa approval. IFBB Pro Evan Centopani opted not to compete.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Congrats to the Russia-born, Germany-dwelling Dennis Wolf on the 2nd victory of his pro career in the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness, following his 1st place at the 2007 IFBB Keystone Pro Classic (where he defeated the likes of IFBB Pro Darrem Charles, IFBB Pro Ed Van Amsterdam, as well as Warren, Samuel, and Jackson). Born in Greece and residing in Australia, Michael Kefalianos displays better lower-body proportions than Johnnie Jackson (who would be super dangerous if he had the monstrous legs of Ben Pakulski) and could have taken the 2nd place spot, rising from his his 4th place finish at this contest last year, but congrats to Kefalianos for qualifying to compete at the Mr. Olympia contest for the second time in his professional bodybuilding career. Reigning Arnold Classic Champ IFBB Pro Branch Warren was unable to compete in Australia, but he'll certainly join Wolf, Kefalianos and other contenders like IFBB Pro Phil Heath, IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson and IFBB Pro Victor Martinez chasing the Sandow Olympia trophy this year.
