IFBB PRO BRANCH WARREN BRINGS HOME A WIN FROM 2012 AUSTRALIAN PRO GRAND PRIX

The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Branch Warren brought home a win from the 2012 Australian Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships. Greek-born, Australia-based IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos garnered 2nd place. IFBB Pro Omar Deckard grabbed the 3rd place position. For the second time this year, Warren qualifies to compete at the 2012 Olympia Weekend (September 29).

The "So What?": Warren won the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic two weeks ago. IFBB Pro Luke Timms took home 5th place at the Australian Pro Grand Prix, as well as the "Luke Wood Memorial Award" (named for Australia's highest-placing pro, the late IFBB Pro Luke Wood). IFBB Pro Abraham Elzaibak was a late entrant who took 7th place.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Mike Kefalianos posed a challenge to pre-show favorite Branch Warren. While he didn't nab a win in his backyard, he earned 4 points in the newly implemented IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System.
