ANDREW OYE'S image The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup includes the reigning titleholders of physique sports' biggest contests -- the "Super Bowl of bodybuilding" (Olympia Championships) and the premiere international invitational (Arnold Classic).

The "So What?": Over the weekend, the top pros made guest-posing appearances at amateur bodybuilding events from coast to coast. On the west coast, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler was the featured guest poser at the 2011 NPC West Coast Classic Bodybuilding Championships in California. On the southeastern coast, winner of the Arnold Sports Festival's 2011 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, IFBB Pro Branch Warren put on a guest performance at the first annual NPC Flex Lewis Classic Bodybuilding Championships, hosted by 202 Division IFBB Pro Flex Lewis in Tennessee.

The California event was Jay Cutler's final guest-posing appearance before going into laser-focus mode to prepare for Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in September. Following his routine, Branch Warren told the Tennessee crowd, "I want to thank Flex Lewis for inviting me [to guest pose]. He's truly one of my good friends in the world. I've been to Tennessee many times and I love the south, because I am a native southerner. I want to thank all of you for coming to the show. Because of your support of the NPC and the IFBB, I get to travel the world and live out my dreams...Without your support, we couldn't do what we do."

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Jay Cutler is looking for his fifth Olympia win and Sandow trophy, while Branch Warren has sent a warning signal of his hunger for the sport's highest honor. Both the Massachusetts mass-star and the tough Texan had better keep their eyes peeled for IFBB Pro Phil Heath. The Colorado kid (by way of Seattle, Washington), who went from collegiate basketball to competitive bodybuilding, made his intention clear with a 2nd place runner-up finish at the 2010 Olympia. Heath wants the champ's spot, and he has built the momentum to bowl over the rest of the lineup (which will also include 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson, IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf and IFBB Pro Ronny Rockel).
