The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results

The Scoop: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Al Auguste aced 1st place in Arizona at the 2012 IFBB Pro Desert Muscle Classic Championships. IFBB Pro Mark Dugdale finished in 2nd place. IFBB Pro Milton Holloway, Jr. landed in 3rd place.

The "So What?": This is the first 212 Division event to apply the new IFBB Pro League rule to qualify only the 1st place athlete to compete at the 2012 Olympia Weekend (September 28-29), versus the Top 3 finishers. The new IFBB Pro Women's Physique Division crowned its first-ever winner, Karina Nacimento.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: With a lineup of only four competitors in the first 212 Division contest of the 2012 calendar year (not counting Olympia-qualifiers 2011 Sacramento Pro and 2011 Iowa Pro), the new division (not initially embraced by all) seems to be off to a slow start.
