The Item: Contest Results, New IFBB Pro League Cards
The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, Quincy Winklaar won the 2011 Juliette Bergmann Classic at the Dutch Grand Prix Bodybuilding Championships in the Netherlands. With this victory, Winklaar earned IFBB Pro athlete status and qualification to compete as a professional bodybuilder.
The "So What?": New IFBB Pro Quincy Winklaar is the younger brother of rising star IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar. According to a sudden report from IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic promoters to "Andrew Oye's Pro Muscle Report" last year, the 2010 Bergmann Classic Overall winner William Bonac had declined (postponed) acceptance of his pro card qualification to compete at the 2011 Arnold Amateur competition. Additionally, rookie IFBB Pro Mirsad Terzo, who won this event's 90 kg Class last year, reportedly became the first bodybuilder from Bosnia and Herzegovina to win an IFBB Pro card.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Between sibling celebrations, postponed pro status, and history-making honors - and only in its second year - the Bergmann Classic is putting the drama in Dutch bodybuilding.
