ANDREW OYE'S IFBB PRO CONTEST REPORT: IFBB PRO DEXTER JACKSON DELIVERS WINNING PHYSIQUE AT IFBB AUSTRALIAN PRO GRAND PRIX BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS, ADDING TO REMARKABLE IFBB PRO LEAGUE CONTEST HISTORY

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson delivered a winning physique at the 2013 IFBB Australian Grand Prix Pro Bodybuilding Championships. IFBB Pro Toney Freeman nabbed 2nd place. Canadian IFBB Pro Ben Pakulski captured 3rd place. IFBB Pro Ed Nunn was placed in the 4th position. IFBB Pro Ivan Sadek took 5th place.

The remaining field: Australia-based Greek IFBB Pro Michael Kefalianos (6th), IFBB Pro Jeff Long (7th), IFBB Pro An Nguyen (8th), IFBB Pro Luke Timms (9th), in his pro debut IFBB Pro Luke Schembri (10th), and IFBB Pro Joseph Ulberg (11th)

The "So What?":
As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend and face reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath in Las Vegas, Nevada. Like last year's Australian Pro Grand Prix winner, IFBB Pro Branch Warren (a.k.a. "Quadrasaurus," who did not compete this year), Dexter Jackson doubled-up on victories, winning the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships a week prior to succeeding in Australia.

Andrew Oye's Verdict
: Though Toney Freeman (with his impressive aesthetics) and Ben Pakulski (with monstrous calves and Quadzilla thighs) swapped their placings from the recent 2013 Arnold Sports Festival muscle contest, it's no surprise that Arnold Classic champion Dexter "The Blade" Jackson was victorious in Melbourne so close to his win in Columbus, Ohio.

Resume-wise, Dexter Jackson is becoming one of the most storied athletes in competitive pro bodybuilding history. The 43-year-old tied IFBB Pro Flex Wheeler's record of four Arnold Classic wins. In addition to numerous Top 4 placings at pro contests, he triumphed at the 2012 Masters Olympia. And, of course, with his win at the 2008 Olympia, Jackson joined the club of Sandow trophy-winning Mr. Olympia titleholders (which includes champions like IFBB Pro Sergio Oliva, IFBB Pro Frank Zane, IFBB Pro Lee Haney, IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman, IFBB Pro Dorian Yates and IFBB Pro Jay Cutler)
