The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro James "Flex" Lewis locked up the winner's spot at the 2013 Olympia 212 Showdown at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, staged by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness.

3. IFBB Pro Kevin English
4. IFBB Pro Jose Raymond
5. IFBB Pro Eduardo Correa
6. IFBB Pro Sami Alhaddad

The "So What?": The 2013 Olympia Weekend celebration was the first since the March passing of IFBB Pro League and Olympia founder Joe Weider (a.k.a. the "Father of Modern Bodybuilding"), and a year before the Mr. Olympia Championships' 50th Anniversary. This is the second consecutive Olympia 212 Showdown title for James Lewis. Troy Alves, an Open-Division veteran, made his debut in the Olympia 212 Showdown, as well as Alhaddad. A 3-time Showdown champ, Kevin English made a comeback after skipping the 2012 contest. IFBB Pro League athletes spotted at the Olympia Expo: 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Lee Haney, 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman, Hall of Fame IFBB Pro Kevin Levrone, IFBB Pro Hidetada Yamagishi, IFBB Pro Ed Nunn, IFBB Pro Dennis James, Wrestler/IFBB Pro Andy Haman, IFBB Pro Bill Wilmore, IFBB Pro Ben White, IFBB Pro Zack Khan, IFBB Pro Aaron Clark, IFBB Pro Dallas McCarver, IFBB Pro Seth Feroce, IFBB Pro Brian Yersky, IFBB Pro Marcus Haley, IFBB Pro Larissa Reis, IFBB Pro Jon Delarosa, IFBB Pro Marco Rivera, IFBB Pro Frank McGrath, IFBB Pro Mike Liberatore, IFBB Pro Justin Compton, and more.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: The 212 Division's final Top 3 lineup of Flex Lewis, David Henry and Kevin English was not surprising, since they are all past winners of the lightweight-class Olympia Showdown, the latter two won titles back when it was dubbed the Olympia 202 Showdown. As I noted in my Olympia preview edition of "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report," the number of 212 contenders qualified via the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series shrunk due to fewer 212 Class contests on the IFBB Pro schedule in 2013. Perhaps the addition of the 212 Division to the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships at the 2014 Arnold Sports Festival will turn the tide.
